After much wrangling with ftp programs and such, the Synchronated website, which includes older updates and more info, is now back here, with a mirror here.

Everything in future will be posted on Blogspot as well.

As v0.9, with data quality check carried out on every team, leading to dozens of minor corrections and a complete file.

All older versions have now been taken down.

Once I have received data from users and contributors, there will be a v1.1, but for now this is complete. I'm off to play SWOS.

P.S. This project has involved lots of research and work on a persistent database, looking up photos for over 20,000 players (some of whom, e.g. big clubs' reserve players who don't get into the SWOS squad of 16, don't even appear in this year's update) and sourcing realistic attributes for many times that number. I hope you enjoy the result as much as I do. Keep SWOS alive!

Synchronated SWOS 2011-12 Starter Pack

The starter pack contains all that there is so far, which is (for both Amiga and PC):

- English league, all divisions, updated with Asamoah Gyan gone (had to make an exception there)

- Italian league, all divisions

- Spanish league, all divisions

- Modified SWOS2 (Amiga) and sws.exe (PC) game files to fit the 2011-12 league structures (including the ones still to come). These also contain official FIFA nationality codes, which you'll want for the new data, since Montenegro and Libya have replaced two defunct codes. That's why van Persie's nationality is 'NED' and not 'HOL' in the Arsenal screenshot, if you'd spotted it. The new league data files may not work properly unless you use these files, due to differences in league structures (instructions included).

- Classics league, which replaces the El Salvador league - this is a pool of legendary retired players arranged into 46 competing clubs. You can buy greats from it in career mode or just ignore it; it won't affect the rest of the game.

The rest of the leagues (and national teams) will be released over the next few weeks and will work with the included SWOS2/sws.exe files.

EDIT: note that career mode will NOT work with the 2011-12 game files until the remaining leagues have been released, due to changes in league structures from previous seasons. All other game modes will work fine with whatever leagues have so far been released.

Good morning all.

The transfer window has closed and the 2011-12 Synchronated SWOS Updates are up and running, with far more detail and scope than ever before. Every league that exists in SWOS should be updated over the next few weeks - along with some that didn't even exist before. Keep checking back here for new leagues and eventually a complete, career-compatible 2011-12 data set.

So to kick things off, here is the English league file, for PC and Amiga, for 2011-12 - all divisions updated as always.

Changes to v2.2
- New sws.exe: Fixed crash bug that occurs in PC version (even in the original 96/97 version) when playing Career Mode as a Greek team
